Insurance and Payment

Understanding Your Insurance and Payment Responsibilities

Navigating the health insurance landscape can be a complex task. At The Allergy and Asthma Centers of Cape Cod, we aim to simplify this process as much as possible for our patients.

Billing and Insurance

As part of our ongoing commitment to your convenience, we handle the insurance billing for our services. However, it’s crucial to remember that the contract of your insurance coverage is between you and your insurer. This means that you’ll need to cover any charges that your insurance does not.

Understanding the specifics of your insurance plan is essential. This includes knowing what services your plan covers, your copay obligations, as well as any applicable deductible or coinsurance. These factors significantly influence your individual financial responsibilities.

Due to the often-confusing nature of health insurance, we strongly encourage you to acquaint yourself with your specific plan. We recommend calling your insurance provider to confirm your coverage before your appointment with us. Our team is always willing and ready to assist you with any insurance-related questions.

Participating Insurance Providers

We are in-network with a broad range of health insurance plans. These include Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, BMC, Cigna, Harvard Pilgrim, Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, Tufts, United Healthcare, and several others.

Copayments and Identification

Please note that copayments are due at the time of service. It’s essential that you bring your insurance card and a photo ID to your initial visit, as these are required to process your insurance billing. We will ask to see your current insurance card at each of your visits to keep our records updated.

Your understanding of these insurance and payment-related matters contributes significantly to a seamless healthcare experience. Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
